Ave Maria! full of grace,
When shall we behold thy face?
See the Star of morning rise,
As in prayer we lift our eyes
To the mansions of the skies,
Thy home, dear Mother, the land of rest.

We slowly draw the parting breath,
Be sure, dear Mother, thou art there
With gracious aid and fervent prayer.
