Mary is the Mother of God; for that reason we honour her. That sublime privilege raises her above all creatures; but it is also the secret of her power with her Divine Son. He freely placed Himself under her fostering care from childhood. He did not allow His infinite superiority to diminish His dependence upon her. He went wherever she carried Him, and she was never anything else to Him but a most tender and loving mother.
Do thou, O Mother of God and my Mother, take all my needs into thy bosom and present them to thy son. He will not refuse to hear and grant them. Address Him by those powerful words, "My Son."
Do thou, O Mother of God and my Mother, take all my needs into thy bosom and present them to thy son. He will not refuse to hear and grant them. Address Him by those powerful words, "My Son."
With such a preface to your petitions, there is nothing too great for you to ask or for Him to grant.
