Catechism Lessons - 9

On God and His Perfections.

What is God?
God is a spirit infinitely perfect.

Why is God said to be infinitely perfect.
God is said to be infinitely perfect, because He is the most perfect of all beings, and there are no limits to His perfections.

Had God a beginning?
God had no beginning; He always was and He always will be.
"Before the mountains were made and the world was formed, from eternity to eternity, Thou art God" Ps. 89:2.

Where is God?
God is everywhere.

If God is everywhere, why is He said to be in certain places?
God said to be in certain places, because He shows Himself therein in some special way; as, in heaven, in the tabernacle, and in the souls of the just.
