He who eats my flesh,
and drinks my blood,
abides in me and I in him.
Lord Jesus Christ, who have assumed a human body out of love for us;
who have loved us even to death and have washed us in your blood;
who in the Sacrament of Your Love have remained with us and given us yourself as food―
have mercy on us!
Lord Jesus Christ, you are the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to you will not hunger.
Whoever believes in you will not thirst.
You have come from heaven, not to do your own will, but the will of Him who sent you.
The bread that you give us is your flesh for the life of the world. He who eats your flesh and drinks your blood shall have everlasting life and you will awaken him on the Last Day. For your flesh is truly food and your blood is truly drink. Whoever eats your flesh and drinks your blood remains in you and you remain in him. As the heavenly Father lives in you and you in Him, so too will he who eats your flesh live through you. Amen.
