Evening Prayer

 
I adore You, my God and Lord.
You are always here with me,
wherever I may be.

I believe in You,
O eternal Truth.
I hope in You,
O infinite Mercy.
I love You above all things,
O highest Good.

Because I love You,
I am sorry for all my sins,
especially those by which
I have offended You today.

I firmly resolve to amend my life.
Through the precious Blood of Jesus Christ,
I ask You to forgive me.

Thank You for all Your blessings,
especially for the many graces
You have given me today,
and for the many evils
from which You have mercifully kept me.

Accept this day now past
for Your glory
and the salvation of my soul.

Grant me a peaceful night.
May sleep renew my strength,
so that tomorrow
I may serve You more faithfully.

With every breath I take tonight,
I desire to believe in You,
to hope in You,
and to love You.

I desire to grieve for my sins,
and to praise and glorify You
with all my heart.
