The Our Father

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth,
as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

About the Our Father

The Our Father is the prayer Jesus Himself taught His disciples when they asked Him how to pray. It is simple, complete, and deeply trusting. In it, we honor God as our Father, ask that His will be done, place our daily needs in His hands, ask forgiveness, and beg Him to protect us from sin and evil. It is truly the prayer of a child speaking to a loving Father.
