O Divine Saviour, how great is Thy love! Thou hast lavished it upon the whole world in a measure incomprehensible to both angels and men. Thou, O only Begotten Son of God, hast embraced the direst misery not only to purge away the guilt of our sins, but also to manifest Thy infinite love for us sinful creatures. With everlasting love Thou hast loved us. Oh, grant that we may ardently long to love Thee with our whole heart and with all our mind. Ah, how weak and faint is not our love! Do Thou expand our hearts, and lead us on the royal way of the cross which Thy love first has trod, into the kingdom of eternal glory.
O ever blessed Virgin Mary, the object of our tenderest love, obtain for us the grace to grow in divine love and thus to become worthy spouses of thy beloved Son.
Resolution: We will perform all our actions, especially those that are repugnant to nature, for the love of Jesus.
Take, O Lord
Take, O Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my whole will. Thou hast given me all that I am and all that I possess; I surrender it all to Thee that Thou mayest dispose of it according to Thy Will. Give me only Thy love and Thy grace; with these I will be rich enough, and will have no more to desire.
