God has given Mary to us as a loving refuge. When we have wandered away from Him, we may turn to her with confidence.
Through her prayers, Mary gently leads us back to Jesus, helping us to be sorry for our sins and to begin again with God.
Dear Mother Mary, be my morning light. Take me by the hand and lead me always closer to Jesus.

About This Meditation
This meditation comes from an old German Catholic prayer book and draws upon the words of Saint Rupert and Saint John Damascene. It compares Mary’s birth to the gentle light of morning and reminds us that we can always turn to her for help, trusting her to take us by the hand and lead us back to Jesus.
